You may recognize the Gaithersburg/Germantown Jaycees by some of the projects we run/participate in - After Prom @ Sceneca Valley High School, Relay for Life, Tree Lightings, Paint-A-Pumpkin @ local Oktoberfests, Glowsticks @ Germantown Glory, Seminars, Restaurants of the Month, Socials, and many other local events. Besides focusing on community service, the Gaithersburg/Germantown Jaycees offer many self improvement programs including Value Investing, Leadership Development, Individual Development, Networking, Public Speaking and Community action. The leadership and management skills offered by the Jaycees has helped many of our members to advance in their careers. Most important is the friendship Jaycees offer its members. Many people join the Jaycees in order to meet new people and make new friendships. Those who join the Jaycees discover that the friendships made while being a Jaycee last a lifetime. The chapter has various social events for single, married and family members including family activities, attending sporting events, various socials and outdoor activities.
