The Seneca Valley High School After Prom party is a safe and alcohol-free event for students who want to keep the party going after the prom. Over time, the event has expanded to take over both of the school’s gyms and is attended by nearly all of the students who attend the prom. G&G’s major role in this event is to provide food and beverage for the students and volunteers (more than 400 per year over each of the past five years). In addition to the food and drinks, we also provide some of the people to staff the various blackjack and poker tables and other events during the night. Of course, before the After Prom arrives, there’s some planning to be done. Budget, discussing potential donors, food, creating decorations for the food area (This year’s theme is Hollywood. Does that give you any ideas?), and picking up the donated items. And then, on May 16, that’s the Big Night. Contact Kara Farrell for more information and about how to get involved. |
